Antonella Sanderson, the Principal Solicitor Director, has been dedicated to focusing her career in Family Law since University days, having completed Family Law and Advanced Family Law as part of her degree, and in attaining a High Distinction grade for her Honours Thesis which investigated family violence and children's contact matters.
Working in the legal industry since commencing her law degree in 1994, Antonella has worked predominantly in Family Law since 1997.
Antonella is a single mother, and brings a unique understanding of just how it feels to be going through separation and divorce, as well as the complexities of raising children after separation.
Being the fastidious type, Antonella enjoys assisting clients with complex property challenges such as superannuation splitting, asset protection with Binding Financial Agreements, and Spouse Maintenance matters. In addition, Antonella feels strongly about helping clients achieve settlement in parenting matters, including giving her clients ideas and options to help them focus on the best interests of their children. Having completed the Independent Children's Lawyer training in 2007, Antonella is preparing to seek appointment to the Legal Aid Panel of Independent Children's Lawyers.
Antonella is a current member of:
- Law Society of NSW;
- Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia;
- Legal Aid Family Law Panel;
- Penrith Chamber of Commerce.
After her own child gets a little older, Antonella wishes to return for more University study - she has the Masters of Applied Family Law in her sights.
Running a business and raising a child as a single parent doesn't leave much spare time, but when the opportunity arises Antonella enjoys reading, listening to genres of music the rest of her staff don't particularly enjoy, public speaking, surfing and jogging at the beach.
